Scott G. Williams, MD, FACP, DFAPA, FAASM, earned his medical degree from the Uniformed Services University and completed a combined residency in Internal Medicine and Psychiatry at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He served 21 years in the U.S. Army and retired as a Colonel.
He is board-certified in Psychiatry, Internal Medicine, and Sleep Medicine by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Williams is recognized as a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and as a Fellow of both the American College of Physicians and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. He is a Professor of Psychiatry with an academic appointment to the Uniformed Services University.
As both a psychiatrist and internist, he believes that mental and physical health are deeply interconnected and addressing them together yields the best outcomes.
